Littlestep Green blue eyes looked around the small clearing in the woods. Larksong had shown her this place... it had many of the herbs the Medicine Cats of SunburstClan used. Though..even more important to the young she-cat...this was the last place Adderfang had been alive....it was also the place he died. Taking a deep breath, Littlestep closed her eyes, remembering him for a moment. And, as she did often, she thought she could feel his loving presence. It brought her a little peace..but not much. Opening her eyes again, she set out to work, looking for the herbs she was running low on. It was no secret she still blamed herself for his.. and Larksongs, death. Despite ow many times numerous cats had told her it wasn't her fault. It didn't matter though..that what she believed...and she would be willing to work herself to death just to be better. [/color]

He had been trotting around his Clan's territory for some time now, but had as of yet not found anything out of the ordinary. Surprisingly, Eveningstar had not hunted yet, but was just wondering about to pass the time by. Stumbling upon one of the small clearings in one of the partial wooded areas of the territory, he let a few curses fly as he wrestled for a moment with a thorn bush that he had caught his tail in. "..for the love of CelestialClan!" The tom started once more as he finally freed his tail only to get caught in another bush. "Confounded long hair! Why couldn't I have been passed on my mother's short and delicate hair?" He muttered to the world. To his embarassment, he realized that there happened to be yet another cat in that same clearing. Clearing his throat he looked to the young medicine cat with a small bit of amusement caught up in his eyes. "Hello there, Littlestep. Out collecting herbs, are we? Could you be an absolute dear and help your ol' leader out of this potential mess?" The older tom meowed with bright joy to the she-cat with a genuine smile sprawled across his dappled muzzle and face.

Dappledsky padded through Sunburstclan's territory. She hoped to get a little fresh air, maybe catch some fish or two. The job of being a deputy was hard work, she had to organize patrols, and do anything the leader isn't able to do. Though, it was rewarding. She gets the respect of many of her clan mates, and she liked doing things for the better of her clan. Unlike the other clans, Sunburstclan was more deserving of certain privileges than all the other clans.
Dappledsky found the single river that had divided the territory in two. Her light moss green eyes gazed down in the the water. She could see the silhouette of different size fishes swimming to and fro against the soft current. Dappledsky laid down by the river's edge, with her paws and most of her body dangling over the bank. Her delicate paws were barely touching the water's surface as she waited. Then Dappledsky struck, her paws breaking the river's surface. She could feel the scaly skin of the fish swim past her paws. Dappledsky unsheathed her claws, letting it sink into the flesh of the fish, then quickly pulled it out. The silver fish flopped, and squirmed, trying to make its way back into the river. She then killed it with a quick bite to the neck. The deputy unhooked her claws from the prey and padded upstream. She was trying to look for more prey, since Dappledsky already scared the rest of the group off.
As Dappledsky went farther along, the trees became more dense, due to the fact that she was heading into the wooded areas of her clan's territory. The open space around her was starting to fill up with towering trees. She started to hear a cat's meow about some clan, but was too far away to hear. Concerned with the fact that an enemy cat might be on Sunburstclan's territory, her slow pace quickened into a walk, then a sprint. "Confounded long hair! Why couldn't I have been passed on my mother's short and delicate hair?"
[/i] Dappledsky would know that voice anywhere. It was Eveningstar, her clan's leader. She ran as fast as she could, swerving to the side every time a tree came closer. Dappledsky could see two feline shapes getting bigger. It was no trespasser, it was just Eveningstar with Littlestep. Then she reached the clearing in the woods. The young deputy skidded to a halt, and dropped her fish on the ground. The leopard spotted she-cat unsheathed her claws, ready for battle in case there was an intruder nearby. Waiting a moment to catch her breath, the she-cat panted, "Forgive me if I'm interrupting anything, Eveningstar." The dappled cat dipped her head apologetically, then continued. "I thought there might have been a trespasser. It seems like I was wrong." Dappledsky finished and was all caught up with her breath now. [/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Littlestep jumped about a foot in the air and she spun around, only to see Eveningstar, stuck in a bush. She breathed out a little sigh of relief, before placing the herbs she had down. " R-right away, Eveningstar." The medicine cat quickly bounded over to her leader. She expected the situation momentarily, before pressing a paw to the bush, trying to move it and extract it from her leaders tail. Most likely in doing this , some hair would be pulled out as well.
Yet again there was more noise, and the she-cat jumped, turning her head. Again..no danger..just Dappledsky " E-Eveningstar just got stuck in a bush and I was helping him" She said quietly, ears pressing against her head slightly as she noticed the other she-cats claws were unsheathed. There wasn't even any danger here! Why was everyone so willing to fight!?

His whiskers twitched as he grinned with slight amusement, but he then winced as the young she-cat attempted to release his tail from the all natural trap Eveningstar had sprung right into. "Right, thank you for helping, Little-" Just then, the ebony and ivory tom was interupted by the appearance of a new she-cat who flew right through the thorny underbrush. Oh, if only he could do that too.
"Forgive if I'm interupting anything, Eveningstar.
[/i]" " Oh, of course not." Murmured the tom as soon as the words had escaped from the she-cat's mouth. " I thought there might have been a trespasser. It seems like I was wrong.[/i]" Continued the bengal spotted deputy as a laugh lit up the emerald eyes of the older tom. " Alas, there was a fluffy intruder this time, Dappledsky. It seems this clumsy ol' leader stumbled into ThornbushClan territory." He muttered, managing to keep a sober face as his eyes danced with fun. " E-Eveningstar just got stuck in a bush and I was helping him.[/i] Dear, oh dear. The sound of that pitiful stutter accompanied by the sight of flattened ears troubled him. " And help you did, little one. Do not fear us, we are your Clanmates and friends. Nothing to worry about, Littlestep. Look, I escaped without needing any sort of your special treatment." The tom purred with slight praise to the small medicine cat before him as he flicked his tail over by her, gently swatting at the paws she laid before her. What a terrified cat. Hopefully, with time, she might grow out of it. " Now, ladies, whatever shall we do on this fine sunny day? I do hope I can pull you both away from your duties and go on a bit of a stroll together. Perhaps we might be able to help out SunburstClan's darling lil' medicine cat, eh?"[/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Brown ears straightened up a little and he reassured her not too worry. She wasnt afraid of her Clanmates, no..she was this nervous around all cats. She knew there was no reason for most.. but she still was. " S-some help would be nice." She stuttered once more, a habit she had since her kithood that was very hard to break. " But I'm sure You both are very busy. How could they not be? Dappledsky was deputy and Eveningstar was leader! They /had/ to be busy... to busy to worry about the stuttering little medicine cat.
